Job summary

ServiceMaster Restoration Services seeks a Director of Operations to lead multi-location operations across Minnesota, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Ventura, CA, driving performance, service quality, safety, and profitability. Working with the COO, you will set standards, manage budgets, and develop branch leadership.

The role requires 5–7 years of leadership, strong budgeting and KPI oversight, and bilingual English/Spanish.

Job Title: Director of Operations

Pay Type: Salary Exempt

Status Type: Full-time

Position Summary

The Director of Operations provides leadership and oversight for ServiceMaster Cleanoperations across multiple locations, currently identified as Minnesota, Albuquerque, NewMexico, and Ventura, California. The position is responsible for operational performance,service quality, profitability, safety, regulatory compliance, and development of branchleadership. Working with the COO, this role establishes consistent standards, drivesaccountability, and supports sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership and Performance:

• Direct and evaluate multi-location operations to achieve established service, quality,efficiency, and profitability goals.
• Set and communicate performance expectations and key performance indicators(KPIs); review results and address performance gaps.
• Partner with branch leaders to maintain consistent operational practices, customerservice standards, and timely completion of required system tasks.
• Assess facility conditions, equipment, vehicles, staffing, and supply needs; coordinateimprovements and resource allocation.
• Represent the company professionally in customer interactions and support resolutionof escalated service concerns.
• Partner with the COO on annual operating budgets and plans; monitor actual performance against budgets.
• Oversee labor utilization, supplies, equipment, and other operating expenses; holdbranch leaders accountable for cost control and profitability.
• Identify operational efficiencies and recommend corrective actions to improvefinancial and service outcomes.
• Lead, coach, and develop direct reports through regular communication, feedback,and performance management.
• Complete annual performance evaluations for direct reports and support leadershipdevelopment and succession readiness.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, professional conduct, andcustomer service.

Safety, Compliance, and Company Standards:

• Model and reinforce safe work practices, required safety protocols, and applicablecompany policies.
• Ensure facilities, employees, vehicles, and equipment meet established cleanliness,branding, and operational standards.
• Oversee timely and accurate completion of compliance activities and requiredoperational documentation.
• Maintain working knowledge of company services; participate in required trainingand professional development.
• Collaborate across departments to support company objectives and perform otherduties as assigned or apparent.

Skills & Qualifications Required

• Five to seven years of progressive leadership experience in operations or facilitiesmanagement.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing operations across multiple locations or states.
• Proven ability to develop teams, manage performance, and drive operationalaccountability.
• Strong business judgment, budgeting and expense-management skills, and ability tointerpret operational performance metrics.
• Knowledge of workplace safety, compliance practices, and operational standards.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn company operational systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet applicable company driving requirements.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Work Environment

Work is performed in office, branch, and customer-site environments. The role requires routinevisits to operating locations and may involve exposure to active work sites, vehicles, equipment,and varying site conditions.

Work Schedule & Travel Requirements

Full-time leadership position with regular travel among assigned operations, including locationsin Minnesota, New Mexico, and California. Flexibility is required for business needs, occasionalafter-hours emergencies, and operational support.

Physical Demands

The position may require standing, walking, bending, reaching overhead, and walking operatingsites throughout the day and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
