Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education with focus on instructional design
• 3–5 years in higher education
• Experience with instructional design and online learning environments
• Experience using a course LMS; Blackboard Ultra preferred
• Commitment to working with diverse student populations
• Affinity Action involvement is a plus

Responsibilities

• Contributes to a strategic plan to increase quality of online learning
• Develops communication and information strategies for online education
• Implements programs to improve online student retention and readiness
• Oversees development of online and hybrid offerings and manages related budget
• Leads development of policies for online education and accessibility
• Collaborates across college units to promote student success in online education
• Ensures compliance with SARA and participates in related groups
• Pursues grant opportunities and oversees related projects
• Supervises Instructional Designer staff and maintains records
