Apploi is seeking a Director of Nursing in Illinois to plan, organize, and direct the day-to-day operations of the Nursing Department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards, and maintaining high-quality care.

The DON will coordinate services, supervise nursing staff, complete administrative duties, and ensure adequate staffing and resources for safe patient care. This role emphasizes leadership and ongoing quality improvement in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current Illinois unencumbered license to practice as a RN.
• 3 years of experience in a supervisor healthcare role, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
• Ensure enough licensed practical and/or registered nurses; Certified Nursing Assistants; medications; and safety equipment are available and utilized in the proper manner for each shift to ensure that quality care is maintained.

Position Summary:
