Job summary

Arcadia Care is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead the nursing department and ensure delivery of high-quality care in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. You will plan, organize, and direct day-to-day nursing operations to maintain regulatory compliance and quality outcomes.

The role requires coordinating services, managing staff, and performing essential administrative duties, while ensuring adequate staffing, medications, and safety equipment for each shift.

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current Illinois unencumbered license to practice as a RN.
• 3 years of experience in a supervisor healthcare role, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents' total regimen of care.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
• Ensure enough licensed practical and/or registered nurses; Certified Nursing Assistants; medications; and safety equipment are available and utilized in the proper manner for each shift to ensure that quality care is maintained.
