Arcadia Care in Springfield, IL seeks a Director of Nursing to lead the Nursing Department, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and delivering high‑quality resident care.

You will organize daily operations, coordinate services with other teams, supervise licensed staff, and ensure Safe medication management and charting, while directing performance improvements.

A nursing degree and Illinois RN license are required; supervisory healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current Illinois RN license to practice.
• 3 years of supervisor healthcare experience preferred.

Director of Nursing (DON)

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of the Director of Nursing is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained.

Essential Duties:

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
• Ensure enough licensed practical and/or registered nurses; Certified Nursing Assistants; medications; and safety equipment are available and utilized in the proper manner for each shift to ensure that quality care is maintained.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current Illinois unencumbered license to practice as a RN.
• 3 years of experience in a supervisor healthcare role, preferred.
