Job summary

Jefferson Health Plans seeks a Regional Director of Nursing Excellence to lead Magnet/Pathway initiatives and nursing excellence programs across the organization. The role partners with senior leadership, directly overseeing education, collaboration, and program implementation to enhance patient outcomes and professional practice.

The ideal candidate will have an MSN or higher, RN licensure in the state, and a track record of leadership in nursing development and accreditation readiness.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; MSN or related health care related degree required. DNP preferred.
• Ten years of nursing experience required to include five years’ experience of hospital clinical practice and demonstrated leadership management capabilities.
• Five years of progressive experience in professional development.
• Current RN licensure in state of practice; Nursing leadership certifications: NPD-BC, NE-BC, NEA-BC or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities to attain Magnet/Pathway designation and other nursing excellence programs.
• Design and implement Magnet, Pathway, and nursing excellence program strategies.
• Education, collaboration with care leaders, and liaison with ANCC Magnet/Pathway Program Office.
• Lead preparation, editing and publication of demographics, redesignation documents, and site visit preparation.
• Monitor budget and oversee program outcomes; improve nurse satisfaction and patient outcomes.
