Job summary

Shore Gardens Rehabilitation and Nursing in Ocean County, New Jersey is seeking a talented Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee all nursing operations for a 150-bed facility. The DON will foster a collaborative and efficient workplace focused on quality standards and patient care.

Qualified applicants are registered nurses with strong managerial and administrative skills, able to make independent decisions, and with at least 2 years of progressive nursing experience in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Registered Professional Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing in Long Term Care with managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, organizing, and directing the Nursing Department.
• Identifies the needs, problems, and progress of nursing services and makes recommendations for improvement.
• Enforce policies and provides guidance to the nursing staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Administrator.
• Conducts regular rounds to monitor the delivery of nursing care.
• Carries out, coordinates, and manages administrative functions in areas or programs related to nursing services.

We are looking for an experienced DON to organize and oversee all nursing operations of the facility (150 beds). The DON will create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies. This position requires a hard-working and compassionate registered nurse with finely developed managerial and administrative skills with an emphasis on problem-solving. The DON must foster a work environment committed to excellence that will support staffworking in the facilityand patients alike.

Job Description:

• DON takes the lead in planning, organizing, and directing the Nursing Department.
• Identifies the needs, problems, and progress of nursing services and makes recommendations for improvement.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc. of the Nursing Department.
