Job summary

Garden Spring Rehab and Care Center in Willow Grove, PA, seeks a seasoned Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the Nursing Department and ensure quality resident care around the clock.

You will drive regulatory compliance, mentor nursing staff, and collaborate with QI teams to improve patient outcomes in a skilled nursing environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the State of Pennsylvania.
• 1+ year of professional nursing experience in long-term care.
• 2+ years of DON experience.
• Knowledge of professional nursing standards and practice.
• Ability to develop nursing policies and procedures aligned with care philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nursing staff provides quality and appropriate resident care that meets regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and licensing agency standards.

Job Description

As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for the planning, development, and overall operation of the Nursing Department, ensuring that our residents receive quality care 24 hours a day. You will be expected to:

• Ensure nursing staff provides quality and appropriate resident/patient care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and licensing agency regulatory standards
• Lead and/or participate in Quality Improvement (QI) groups and other multidisciplinary meetings
• May assist with recruiting, hiring, providing orientation/training, and retaining a sufficient number of qualified staff to carry out the responsibilities of nursing services

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active RN License in the State of Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 1 year professional nursing experience in long-term care setting
• Minimum of 2 years experience working as a DON
• Possess a working knowledge and ability to apply standards of professional nursing practice in job situations
• Ability to develop nursing policies and procedures that reflect current clinical practice, professional standards, and facility philosophy of care
