Job summary

Pavilion Management Company is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee nursing staff and ensure high-quality, compliant services across the facility. This leadership role includes direct supervision, strategic planning, staff development, and adherence to regulatory standards and facility policies.

The DON will plan and direct the Nursing Services department, participate in admissions decisions, and contribute to management meetings addressing census and resident status changes.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college/university.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a health care setting.
• Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the Nursing Services department in compliance with state and federal laws.
• Interprets and communicates policies to nursing staff and monitors practices.
• Participate in all admission decisions.
• Attend daily/weekly management meetings to review census and resident status, complaints or concerns.
• Evaluate nursing staff performance and apply disciplinary actions as needed.
• Participate in QAPI or performance improvement activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring high-quality, compliant, and efficient nursing services across the facility. This leadership role involves direct supervision, strategic planning, staff development, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards and facility policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Plans, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Services department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current state and federal laws and regulations.

• Interprets and communicates policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation.

• Participate in all admission decisions.

• Participates in daily or weekly management team meetings to discuss census changes, resident changes in status, complaints or concerns.

• Evaluates work performance of all nursing personnel and implements discipline according to operational policies.

• Participate in QAPI or facility assessment activities as needed, such as carrying out duties assigned as part of a performance improvement committee.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.

• Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing home, or other related health care facilities.

• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.

• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.

• Current CPR certification.
