Job summary

Cypress Skilled Nursing in Georgia is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations and nursing staff. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of DON experience and strong leadership with a focus on customer service.

Join us to oversee care quality, regulatory conformance, and staff development. A $10k sign-on bonus is available for the right candidate. This is a hands-on role requiring RN licensure and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license is required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school is required.
• At least 2 years of DON experience is preferred.
• Supervisory experience in Skilled Nursing Facility is required.
• Knowledge of basic nursing skills is essential.
• Knowledge of the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered is needed.
• Nurse Management: 5 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and services in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure quality performance and conformance with regulation and laws.
• Participate in state/federal nursing home survey process.
• Write resultant plan of corrections and ensure they are carried out.
• Participate in the QA/CQI process.
• Perform/preadmission assessments in a timely manner.
• Provide care as defined within the state nurse practice act.
• Prepare clinical and progress notes and summaries of care.
• Supervise, educate and coach nursing staff.
• Plan and implement in-service and training programs.
• Maintain clinical records in compliance with laws.
• Stay informed about changes in nursing and share information with organization personnel.

Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing (DON):
