Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a highly motivated Director of Nursing to oversee the delivery of quality nursing care for our residents. You will lead the development of nursing policies, procedures, and programs aligned with our mission and values, driving outcomes and staff development.

As part of the leadership team, you will ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets for nursing services, and foster a collaborative, safe, and high-performing work environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years in a leadership role in nursing, long-term/post-acute care.
• Current RN license and active certification in a relevant specialty.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care policies, procedures, and programs.
• Collaborates with the Executive Team to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals.
• Provides leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, including direct supervision and coaching.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and industry best practices.
• Develops and manages budgets for nursing care services.
• Facilitates open communication and collaboration among nursing staff, other departments, and external partners.
• Identifies and addresses operational gaps and opportunities for improvement.
