Formación

• Previous Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state nursing home regulations and clinical standards.
• Experience managing nursing operations, staffing, and survey readiness.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead teams and maintain high standards of resident care.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily nursing department operations to ensure safe, high-quality resident care.
• Provide leadership to nursing supervisors, nurses, and CNAs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and policies.
• Maintain survey readiness and corrective action planning.
• Monitor care plans, notes, and overall quality of care.
• Oversee infection prevention and control practices.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, recruitment, retention, and performance.
• Lead clinical meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitor clinical indicators and drive performance improvements.
• Participate in QAPI initiatives.

A leading healthcare company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing department and oversee all clinical operations within a skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader with a proven ability to develop nursing teams, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure high-quality, resident-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality resident care.
• Provide leadership, direction, and support to nursing supervisors, nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and clinical standards.
• Maintain survey readiness and oversee the development and implementation of corrective action plans when necessary.
• Monitor resident assessments, care plans, clinical documentation, and overall quality of care.
• Oversee infection prevention and control practices throughout the facility.
• Manage nursing department staffing, scheduling, recruitment, retention, and employee performance.
• Lead clinical meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident outcomes.
• Monitor clinical indicators, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to improve performance.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
• Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility required.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state nursing home regulations and clinical standards.
• Demonstrated experience managing nursing department operations, staffing, and survey readiness.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
