The Arbor Company is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (RN preferred) at Arbor Terrace Marlton to lead a resident care team in a warm, senior living setting. You will oversee all clinical operations, support a high-performing team, and partner with families and physicians to deliver exceptional care.

Qualifications

• NJ RN license preferred
• Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience with staffing, scheduling, and clinical documentation
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and participate in on-call responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with state regulations
• Lead, mentor, and develop nurses, caregivers, and medication staff
• Oversee resident assessments, care planning, and quality of care
• Ensure medication management and clinical documentation meet standards
• Recruit, coach, and retain an engaged resident care team
• Manage staffing schedules and labor resources
• Partner with residents, families, physicians, and healthcare providers
• Collaborate with Executive Director and department leaders to enhance the resident experience
• Promote resident safety and Arbor's culture of excellence
• Participate in Manager-on-Duty and on-call rotations

What You'll Do

As the Director of Nursing, you'll serve as a key member of the leadership team and oversee all resident care operations while developing and supporting a high-performing clinical team.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain compliance with all applicable state regulations




• Lead, mentor, and develop nurses, caregivers, and medication staff




• Oversee resident assessments, care planning, and quality of care




• Ensure medication management and clinical documentation meet company and regulatory standards




• Recruit, coach, and retain an engaged resident care team




• Manage staffing schedules and labor resources




• Partner with residents, families, physicians, and healthcare providers to deliver exceptional care




• Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and department leaders to enhance the resident experience




• Promote resident safety, employee engagement, and Arbor's culture of excellence




• Participate in Manager-on-Duty and on-call rotations as needed

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• NJ RN license preferred




• Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience




• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills




• Ability to lead, coach, and develop a clinical team




• Experience with staffing, scheduling, and clinical documentation




• Ability to work a flexible schedule and participate in on-call responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in assisted living, memory care, long-term care, home health, hospice, or another healthcare setting




• Experience with electronic health records (EHR)




• Quality assurance and regulatory compliance experience




• Senior living experience is not required. We welcome experienced nurse leaders from a variety of healthcare settings who are excited to learn and grow in senior living.
