Job summary

LongTerm Healthcare is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) in Fairmont, WV to oversee all nursing operations at a skilled nursing facility. The DON will ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff development while fostering a collaborative team environment.

The role requires an active West Virginia RN license (or eligibility), 3–5 years of nursing leadership in a SNF/long-term care setting, and strong CMS/state regulation knowledge.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in West Virginia (or ability to obtain).
• 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (CMS, state regulations).
• Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the nursing team, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
• Oversee daily clinical operations to ensure quality resident care and safety
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including CMS guidelines
• Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies and procedures
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning
• Lead quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives
• Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and interdisciplinary teams
• Oversee infection control, medication management, and clinical documentation
• Mentor and develop nursing staff through training and performance evaluations
• Participate in surveys, audits, and accreditation processes

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee all nursing operations within our skilled nursing facility in Fairmont, West Virginia. The DON will ensure the highest standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and staff development while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for residents and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to the nursing team, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs

• Oversee daily clinical operations to ensure quality resident care and safety
