Job summary

Country Villa Wellness & Rehabilitation in Creve Coeur, MO, is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure resident care meets federal, state, and facility standards. The DON will oversee 24-hour supervision of the Nursing Department and coordinate resident care with physician orders.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in Missouri, has 2+ years of nursing supervisory experience, and 5+ years in long-term or acute care.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice required.
• Minimum 2 years nursing supervisory experience.
• 5+ years experience in long-term or acute healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all nursing services to ensure quality care.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, monitoring practices and procedures.
• Coordinate resident care plans in compliance with physician orders and regulations.
• Attend management team meetings to review resident status, staffing, and operations.
• Ensure compliance with the State Nurse Practice Act and company policies.

Job Summary

The Director of Nursing oversees all nursing operations and provides 24-hour supervision of the Nursing Department. You will coordinate resident care, ensure compliance with physician orders, and maintain high-quality standards according to Federal, State, and facility regulations. In the absence of the Administrator, you will assume responsibility for center operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all nursing services to ensure quality care

• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, monitoring practices and procedures

• Coordinate resident care plans in compliance with physician orders and regulations

• Participate in admissions decisions and may meet prospective residents

• Attend management team meetings to review resident status, staffing, and operations

• Ensure compliance with the State Nurse Practice Act and company policies

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice required

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school

• Minimum 2 years nursing supervisory experience required

• 5+ years experience in long-term or acute healthcare preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
