Career Opportunity: Director of New Business Development

Reporting to: VP of Business Development

Candidate Location: Prefer candidates to have access to a major airport within a reasonable distance within the United States.

Are you an experienced business professional that can produce effective results from your depth of experience and relationships in the EMS Environment? As the Director of New Business Development at Spartronics, you’ll be at the forefront of finding and seizing new business opportunities, forging strong relationships, and leading the charge in driving significant revenue growth.

What a Day Looks Like:

  1. Prospect & Hunt: Aggressively seek out new business opportunities and customers, with a focus on OEM Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients in the Aerospace, Defense, and Medical Life Science and Advanced Industrial segments.
  2. Build Relationships: Establish and nurture connections with potential customers and referral sources, ensuring a steady flow of qualified leads.
  3. Drive Deals: Engage with key decision-makers at the executive level to craft and close deals valued at $10M or more.
  4. Strategize & Execute: Develop and manage a qualified pipeline of sales opportunities, leveraging your proven deep industry knowledge and experience.
  5. Collaborate & Lead: Work closely with marketing, sales, and product development teams to align on business development strategies and ensure success.

What You'll Need to Bring:

  1. Education: Bachelor Degree in Business or Engineering preferred; or 7+ years of EMS Business Development Experience.
  2. Experience: 10+ years in EMS industry business development role, with a proven track record of closing high-value deals. Experience in selling EMS, PCBA, SMT, and full product integration is a must. Contract Manufacturing experience required.
  3. Skills: Advanced communication, established business relationships, negotiation and closing experience, with the ability to present to diverse audiences and navigate at the highest levels.
  4. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of EMS-related certifications and ITAR compliance. A background in technical, engineering, or program management is a plus.
  5. Mobility: Must be willing and able to travel 30-40% of the time.
  6. Residency: Must reside in the United States and be a US Citizen.

Compensation: Competitive base salary between $125,000 and $170,000, with attractive commission opportunities. For those looking for a more aggressive earning potential, a 100% commission plan is available.
