Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead the Network Platform Development organization in Plano, TX. You’ll guide multiple teams delivering customer-facing web and mobile apps, RESTful services, and AI-enabled infrastructure with a strong bias for automation and security.

You will drive transformation toward an Intent Based Network, embed governance, and mentor engineers while partnering with product managers to scale cloud-native solutions across AWS and microservices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7+ years in software development and 7+ years in network engineering/architecture.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and grow multiple product-focused software engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers and guide technical development.
• Architect and implement microservices and cloud-based solutions in AWS.
• Improve software engineering practices across Agile teams.
