Job summary

Good Shepherd Services, Ltd invites a Director of Mentoring and Resource Development to lead the division-wide mentoring initiative, shaping a comprehensive framework across YFWB programs and locations in New York. You will recruit, train, and sustain volunteer mentors and partners to advance youth outcomes across education, career readiness, and well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, Education, Human Services, Youth Development, Psychology, Public Administration, or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in youth development, mentoring, workforce development, education, or related human services programs.
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing programs across multiple sites or departments.
• Strong facilitation, training, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working with diverse youth populations and communities.
• Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a division-wide mentoring strategy aligned with the mission, values, and goals of Youth & Family Wellbeing.
• Embed mentoring as a core component of YFWB program culture and youth development practices.
• Assess and refine existing mentoring recruitment, training, onboarding, and support systems.
• Effectively uses Trauma Informed Approach, Solution Based Casework and the Sanctuary Model Tools to create a trauma-sensitive culture.
• Establish policies, procedures, tools, and quality standards for mentoring across programs.
• Monitor program outcomes and utilize data to strengthen mentoring effectiveness.
