Job summary

STACK Infrastructure in Denver, CO is seeking a Director, Mechanical Engineering to lead multi-phase data center projects and guide campus-scale facilities from concept to completion. You will oversee contract documents, ensure on-schedule and within-budget designs, and provide engineering guidance across operations and facilities.

A PE is preferred; 10+ years of data center HVAC design experience and IT cooling expertise are required.

Qualifications

• PE Registration is preferred (Mechanical) and professional engineer status.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years’ experience in design of data centers and HVAC equipment for mission-critical facilities.
• Expertise in IT cooling technologies (air and direct-to-chip liquid).
• Knowledge of mechanical cooling system control.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint.
• Baseline proficiency of AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and final approval of project contract documents.
• Ensure designs are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Provide engineering guidance on projects, operations, and systems.
• Develop and maintain equipment specifications for OFCI equipment and systems.
• Support procurement through submittal reviews and testing.
• Maintain and update legacy basis of design documents.
• Assist in development of new bases of designs for emerging business needs.
• Identify and implement new technologies to maximize energy and cost efficiency.
• Communicate and implement engineering policies and security measures.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging trends in engineering and design.
