Job summary

KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools is seeking a Director of Math to ensure vertical and horizontal curricular alignment for rigorous math instruction across its nine schools. You will lead math intervention, assessment design, and professional development for teachers and leaders.

You will collaborate with MDTL and school leaders to maximize student growth in mathematics, while promoting an equity-focused, anti-racist learning environment and a love of problem solving.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision or Admin Certification required.
• Experience supporting school leadership teams in urban settings.
• Strong data analysis and instructional planning skills required.
• Demonstrated expertise in standards-aligned instruction and curriculum implementation.

Responsibilities

• Works with school leaders to set and drive a vision for quality secondary math intervention, instruction, and assessment.
• Ensures math curriculum and assessment align with standards and are accessible to teachers.
• Supports leaders and teachers to foster joyful, structured, and caring math classrooms.
• Trains teachers and leaders on curricular implementation and math instruction best practices.
• Supports development of a rigorous elementary math pathway.
• Collaborates with Curriculum Directors and Data/Analytics to create data-driven assessments.
