Job summary

VTG Defense seeks a Senior Program Director for Engineering Services & Technical Programs in Washington, DC. The role involves defining the strategic vision, growth roadmap, and serving as capture/program manager within the Engineering Business Unit for DoD and maritime clients.

The candidate will lead pipeline development, proposal activities, and cross-functional initiatives, building relationships with government customers, OEMs, shipyards, and maritime stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Research or Business related field.
• 12+ years of experience in Maritime Engineering, Fleet Sustainment, Technical Services, Maintenance, Logistics, Ship Repair, Program Management, or related defense industry disciplines.
• Experience supporting maritime customers such as NAVSEA, MSC or U.S. Navy/Coast Guard.
• Strong understanding of maritime operations, shipboard systems, maintenance planning and lifecycle sustainment.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute strategic vision and growth roadmap for Engineering Services.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with government customers, industry partners, OEMs, shipyards, and stakeholders.
• Lead or support pipeline development, capture planning, proposal development, and cross-functional growth initiatives.
• Monitor customer priorities and identify new business opportunities in naval programs.
• Develop innovative engineering solutions leveraging emerging technologies for readiness.
• Support mergers, partnerships, and strategic initiatives expanding VTG's capabilities.
• Collaborate with teams to strengthen VTG's market position and growth.
