Job summary

VTG Defense is seeking a Vice President for our Engineering Systems Business Unit in Washington, DC, in a hybrid role. You will lead program delivery across the portfolio, ensuring on-time, on-budget performance and strong customer engagement.

The position requires 15+ years in program management, with 10+ years in DoD/Navy programs, a BS/BA in Engineering or Business Management, PMP, and active DoD Secret clearance or eligibility.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years in program/project management, with 10+ years in DoD/Navy programs.
  • BS/BA in Engineering or Business Management; PMP preferred.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations and delivery across programs in the portfolio.
  • Manage resources to meet scope, schedule, budget, quality and compliance.
  • Formulate work standards, schedules and review performance with stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities: capture plans, proposals and competitive analysis.
  • Assess and mitigate program, financial and operational risks.
  • Oversee revenue and margin performance; manage labor and expenses.
  • Forecast, manage Estimates at Completion and take corrective actions.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships with client leadership.
  • Collaborate on staffing, retention and workforce planning.
  • Ensure FAR/DFARS compliance and govern contract policy.
  • Provide strategic insight on customers, competition and market gaps.
