Job summary

Astec seeks a Director of Manufacturing to lead plant operations, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and implement continuous improvement. You will oversee teams, manage budgets, and coordinate with EHS and finance to meet strategic goals.

You will guide production, welding, fabrication, painting, and assembly activities while leveraging ERP systems and advanced technology to optimize costs and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree in Engineering preferred; Business management acceptable with experience.
• 10+ years manufacturing experience required.
• Experience in shop/production management, engineering, lean manufacturing.
• Experience in heavy steel fabrication and welding methods.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing facility to meet safety, quality, delivery, and financial goals.
• Lead and develop a culture of employee engagement and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve productivity.
• Prepare and manage operating budgets with the controller.
