Job summary

Astec is seeking a Director of Manufacturing to lead the onsite Eugene, OR facility, directing safety, quality, and productivity. You will oversee manufacturing of heaters, tanks, piping, and related components, manage capital projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in manufacturing leadership, strong welding and fabrication background, and extensive experience with ERP systems and budgeting.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering discipline preferred (ME, IE) or related field with experience.
• 10+ years manufacturing-related experience required; leadership in heavy machinery/ fabrication preferred.
• Experience in lean manufacturing, operational excellence, and cost containment.
• Strong knowledge of welding methods and ASME code quality is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems and work routings, costing, scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee manufacturing operations including safety, quality, delivery, and customer service.
• Lead plant processes and manage staff to meet production goals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve lead times.
• Develop budgets and monitor performance against targets with the controller.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to meet Astec’s strategic objectives.
• Maintain safety, environmental, and quality compliance across operations.
