Job summary

Astec is seeking a Director of Manufacturing to lead fabrication, painting, and assembly operations for heaters, tanks, piping, and accessories. You will drive safety, quality, and productivity while guiding management and staff to meet production goals and continuous improvement.

This role requires engineering leadership, lean manufacturing experience, ERP familiarity, and strong communication across functions.

Qualifications

Experience leading manufacturing teams and driving continuous improvement.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and safety practices.
Familiarity with ERP systems and production budgeting.

Responsibilities

Lead the manufacturing facility ensuring safety, quality, delivery and financial targets are met.
Collaborate with EHS and other stakeholders to maintain compliance and improve processes.
Build a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Support long-range goals, technology adoption, and cost reduction initiatives.
Organize teams and manage budgets, schedules, and capacity planning.
Prepare and present production reports to executive leadership.
