Job summary

Ethan Allen Workforce Solutions seeks a Senior Operations Manager to provide strategic leadership across manufacturing support operations, warehousing, logistics, fulfillment, and distribution. This role drives operational excellence through Lean initiatives and strong team development.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of leadership in manufacturing or distribution, with ERP/WMS experience (SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM) and a track record of improving productivity and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business, operations management, supply chain, logistics or related field.
• 7+ years of operations leadership experience within manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, or logistics environments.
• Proven experience leading large teams through multiple levels of management.
• Strong background in inventory control, fulfillment, logistics, and operational performance management.
• Experience with ERP and warehouse management systems such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM, or similar platforms.
• Lean, continuous improvement, or KPI-driven initiatives experience.
• Strong analytical, financial, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-development abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across warehouse, logistics, fulfillment, assembly, and distribution functions.
• Manage and develop department managers, supervisors, and operational teams supporting a workforce of 200+ employees.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Oversee inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and material flow processes.
• Monitor operational KPIs and implement action plans to improve performance.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, staffing plans, and resource allocation strategies.
• Partner with Production, Quality, Customer Service, and Supply Chain leadership to achieve business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational standards.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and Lean operational excellence.
• Support long‑term growth initiatives through process optimization and operational planning.
