Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a senior communications leader to drive internal and external messaging for its U.S. Manufacturing footprint. You will guide employee engagement, align with Labor Affairs and Manufacturing leaders, and lead a team of professionals to protect and enhance Ford’s reputation.

You will champion a culture of safety, quality and innovation while working with senior executives to advance Ford's strategic priorities across plant sites and communities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of communications experience with a focus on manufacturing, labor relations and industrial operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism or related field.
• Exceptional proactive storytelling, media relations and crisis management skills.
• Proven experience supporting senior executives and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and external communications for Ford’s U.S. Manufacturing footprint, ensuring a strategic narrative across stakeholder audiences.
• Partner with Labor Affairs and Manufacturing leaders to support business objectives through communications.
• Serve as a People Leader, responsible for development and high-performance output of a team of communications professionals.
• Grow employee confidence and oversee major employee engagement initiatives.
• Strengthen direct-to-employee communications and build trust across Manufacturing employees.
• Build Ford Manufacturing culture emphasizing respect, safety and quality.
• Position Ford Manufacturing as a leader in quality and innovation and grow the ATP group as a key technology partner.
• Amplify Ford Community Relations’ work in plant cities and communities.
