The College of Computing, Data Science, and Society (CDSS) at UC Berkeley is seeking a Director of Development to lead major gifts fundraising, manage a portfolio of donors, and partner with campus leadership to advance strategic priorities. You will design and implement solicitation strategies and work with faculty, deans, and volunteers to secure transformative gifts.

Competenze

• Advanced knowledge of fundraising, donor relations, and public relations concepts, principles, procedures, and techniques.
• Advanced working knowledge of higher education, particularly STEM areas.
• Advanced knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, etc.
• Advanced written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including political acumen, to secure gifts.
• Advanced organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills and strong project management.
• Very strong skills in maintaining confidentiality.
• Skills to meet or exceed fundraising goals and objectives.
• Advanced working knowledge of the campus, its vision, goals, and infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Mansioni

• Major Gifts Fundraising: manage a portfolio of 75-100 donors; 8-10 prospect/donor visits per month; raise $1-5 million annually once mature.
• Planning and Development Programs Support: direct campaigns and serve as fundraising representative for select centers/institutes.
• Pipeline Development: build major gift prospect pipeline; recruit/train volunteers.
• Professional Development and Growth: engage in training opportunities.
