Director of Maintenance

STGi is seeking a Director of Maintenance in Temple, TX. This role involves planning, organizing, developing, and directing the maintenance department to ensure the facility is maintained safely and comfortably, in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Essential Functions:

1. Assist in developing hazard vulnerability assessments as part of emergency preparedness.
2. Investigate accidents or injuries, prepare reports, and review findings with relevant management.
3. Participate in annual facility assessments to meet resident needs.
4. Ensure the safe operation of environment and equipment.
5. Evaluate and document maintenance and equipment needs.
6. Coordinate access for inspectors and contractors.
7. Conduct safety training and inspect work areas and tools.
8. Verify compliance with standards through testing and measurement.
9. Supervise daily operations of the maintenance department, including planning and scheduling.

Required Skills:

• At least three years of supervisory experience in maintenance or plant operations.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems such as boilers, compressors, generators.
• Ability to interpret blueprints.
• Understanding of building codes and safety regulations.

Required Education and Conditions:

• Minimum two-year technical degree.
• Work involves both office and facility environments, with potential for interruptions and involvement with residents and staff under various conditions.
• Availability for extended hours, including weekends and holidays; on-call 24/7.
