Job Requirements
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
- Proven leadership experience in aircraft maintenance management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability to new systems.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in aviation or related field.
- Experience with Agusta/Leonardo helicopters, Part 135 operations, and as a hoist operator or aircrewman.
- Inspection Authorization (IA).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Fleet Plan software.
Other Requirements:
- Complete annual training per company policy and legal requirements.
- Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills.
- Work in a hybrid environment with potential exposure to aviation-related hazards.
Job Description
The first and only helicopter operator supporting offshore wind development in the U.S., is seeking an experienced Director of Maintenance to lead the maintenance operations for its fleet of AW-169 helicopters. This role will oversee aircraft maintenance, compliance, and team leadership to support offshore wind farm construction, operations, maintenance (O&M), and helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS).
Job Responsibilities
- Manage all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs, ensuring aircraft airworthiness.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, company manuals, and industry standards.
- Lead and manage a team of mechanics and hoist operators in offshore environments.
- Collaborate with manufacturers, suppliers, repair facilities, and FAA representatives.
- Maintain aircraft, facilities, and ground support equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Promote a strong safety culture and contribute to the company’s safety processes.
- Build positive relationships across maintenance, flight operations, dispatch, and ground teams.
- Oversee on-time and on-budget completion of maintenance projects.
