Job summary

Topstep in the United States seeks a Director of Trading & Platform Operations to oversee daily execution across the Trade Desk and Platform Support Desk, ensuring compliant, efficient, and scalable operations under NFA and CFTC standards.

You will lead live desk operations, collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Risk teams, manage high-volume client queues, and drive process improvements to enhance speed, reliability, and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Series 3 license required.
• Series 30 license preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Minimum 7 years of trading operations experience in an NFA/CFTC-regulated environment.
• Proven leadership running live Trade Desks or platform ops.
• Experience partnering with an FCM to support trading operations and regulatory requirements.
• Strong working knowledge of regulatory frameworks and live-market risk management.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee real-time execution for the Trade Desk and Platform Support Desk.
• Manage high-volume client escalation queues and enforce SOPs.
• Drive operational efficiency across critical client workflows (payments, funding, KYC onboarding).
• Triage and resolve platform bugs, outages with Eng/Product teams.
• Maintain contingency plans for outages and wide-scale issues (WSIs).
• Ensure adherence to NFA/CFTC standards and robust record-keeping.
• Lead onboarding and training programs for operations staff.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Risk, Technology, Marketing, Product, and Finance.
