We’re seeking a Leasing Director to lead the lease-up of an exciting new property. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can foster strong teams, and is passionate about delivering a best-in-class resident experience from day one. You’ll play a central role in launching this new community, shaping leasing strategy, and driving results in one of the city’s most competitive markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all lease-up operations, from pre-leasing through stabilized occupancy.
• Develop and implement leasing strategies to meet aggressive absorption targets.
• Oversee and participate in apartment showings, prospect follow-ups, and broker relations.
• Train and supervise a high-performing leasing team; establish performance benchmarks.
• Collaborate with marketing to optimize advertising strategies and traffic generation.
• Create and manage all leasing reports, including occupancy trends, renewal tracking, weekly performance metrics, and comp reports.
• Partner closely with property management and ownership to ensure units meet presentation standards and lease-up milestones.
• Address resident and prospect inquiries with urgency and professionalism, fostering strong community rapport.
• Monitor market conditions and make strategic recommendations to maximize revenue.
• Ensure full compliance with fair housing laws and NYC rent stabilization regulations.
• Maintain an active presence on-site to support team leadership, vendor coordination, and effective lease execution.
• Additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of residential leasing experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or management capacity.
• Demonstrated experience leading a lease-up or large-scale leasing project preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of the NYC residential rental market and rent stabilization laws.
• Excellent communication, sales, and team-building skills.
• Strong analytical ability; confident working with leasing metrics and reporting tools.
• Experience with iLuvLeasing, On-Site, and Yardi strongly preferred.
