We are searching for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Permanent Director of Leasing to join our Accounting + Finance team. This role requires a deep understanding of Section 8, rent laws, lease packages, and NYC rent supplemental programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing lease negotiations for a portfolio of over 2500 apartments in New York City. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of leasing for a portfolio of over 2500 apartments, primarily located in New York City.
• Ensure compliance with all current NYC regulations and rent laws.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of Section 8 and various NYC rent supplemental programs to maximize profits and maintain tenant satisfaction.
• Develop and implement effective leasing strategies to attract new tenants and retain existing ones.
• Negotiate lease terms and conditions and ensure they are in line with company's policies and regulations.
• Prepare and review lease agreements to ensure they are complete and accurate.
• Coordinate with property management team to ensure smooth move-ins and move-outs.
• Provide regular updates to senior management about occupancy rates, lease renewals, and other key metrics.
• Stay updated on current market trends and economic conditions to adjust leasing strategies as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Accounting + Finance industry.
• Extensive knowledge of Section 8, rent laws, lease packages, and NYC rent supplemental programs.
• Proven track record of managing large portfolios and negotiating lease terms.
• Excellent understanding of current NYC regulations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or related field is preferred.
