Job summary

Target is hiring a Director – Labor Relations in Columbus, Ohio. The role leads labor relations strategies across stores, distribution centers, and corporate functions, guiding a team of specialists to close culture gaps and ensure policy compliance.

You will partner with HR, Operations, and HQ to address structure concerns, provide on-site training, and support colleagues on labor-related issues while staying current with regulatory developments. Travel up to 75% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in Retail or Distribution Center Operations, HR, Labor Relations, or compliance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across levels and teams.
• Ability to analyze data to influence decisions and identify risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement labor relations programs to improve colleague experience across stores, DCs, and HQ.
• Lead a team of specialists through plans and execution of local practices to close culture gaps.
• Partner with HR and Operations to address store and GSCL structure concerns and improve colleague experience.
• Provide guidance, training, and on-site support for Field and HQ colleagues on labor‑related issues.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, Target policies, and industry guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier and vendor adherence to policies.
• Lead change initiatives with senior leaders, monitor data, and drive engagement and development.
• Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory developments to guide colleagues.
