Job summary

Dr. Squatch, Minneapolis, seeks an experienced Director of Retail Sales to lead our Target partnership, own the P&L, and shape multi-year growth across distribution, space, and pricing.

You will coach a team, negotiate with buyers, and align cross-functional partners in Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, and Marketplaces to win shelf and online.

This hybrid, full-time role offers a base compensation range of $170,000–$215,000 and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in CPG sales or account management with P&L ownership.
• Direct Target experience including JBP, planning cadence, and supply chain.
• Proven leadership: coach, develop, build bench strength.
• Strong negotiations and brand economics experience.
• Fluent in retail P&L mechanics and syndicated data; exec-facing.

Responsibilities

• Own the Target account strategy across distribution, assortment, space, pricing, promotions, and digital.
• Lead the Joint Business Plan with Target and multi-year growth roadmap.
• Be the senior day-to-day relationship owner with Target buyers and merchants.
• Lead negotiations on price, promotional funding and margins.
• Own the account P&L: forecasting, trade spend efficiency, ROI, and payments.
• Use Circana, NIQ, and Target POS data to shape strategy.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Target team and succession planning.
• Partner with Marketplaces and ecommerce on Target.com and retail media.
• Drive in-store presence, displays, and broker/merchandising partners.
• Represent Target in line reviews and executive business reviews; be the retailer voice.
