Job summary

Prisms VR, a San Francisco-based education technology innovator, is seeking a Director of Strategic Growth & Institutional Funding to accelerate revenue through federal, state, and private funding sources. This role blends grant writing with business development to secure and scale funding for K-12 solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of combined experience in K-12 grant writing, educational procurement, or edtech business development.
• Deep understanding of K-12 funding structures, including ESSA Titles and state allocations.
• Proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure grants or public sector contracts.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with ability to explain complex tech in pedagogical terms.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple grant deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Draft compelling proposals and grant applications, ensuring compliance and technical accuracy.
• Translate product features into funding outcomes aligned with grant maker goals (e.g., Title I, IDEA).
• Create reusable grant toolkits, templates, and boilerplates for district partners.
• Identify funding pipelines by researching federal, state, and private sources to identify market opportunities.
• Coach internal teams on leveraging funding streams to shorten sales cycles and secure funding.
