Job summary

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a Director of IT Strategy to lead the enterprise-wide IT strategy, governance, and execution of large-scale transformation initiatives across cloud infrastructure, enterprise systems, security policies, and cost management.

You will partner with senior leadership to shape the IT roadmap, drive cost optimization, and ensure alignment with corporate strategy while building a high-performing PI IT Strategy team in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of progressive IT strategy and enterprise systems experience in a large corporate setting.
• Minimum 8 years leading enterprise-scale IT programs (cloud, ERP, CRM, or comparable platforms).
• Business-level fluency in Korean and English; ability to read, write, and translate technical/business documents.
• Proven experience owning IT cost management strategy and driving measurable cost optimization across enterprise IT services and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with IT security policy governance, compliance, and audit in a large enterprise setting.
• Track record of managing and developing high‑performing teams in a fast‑paced, matrixed organization.
• Experience presenting to and influencing C‑suite and executive stakeholders, including HQ leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement enterprise IT strategy across SEA to enable business value.
• Shape IT roadmap with senior leaders and translate strategy into scalable technology solutions.
• Manage IT cost governance, enterprise system transitions, and cloud cost optimization.
• Oversee email platform transitions and IT security policy governance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Security and IT to drive enterprise-wide adoption of new systems.
