Job summary

Shionogi Inc. is seeking a Director of IT Operations to lead infrastructure and workplace technology across the organization. The role combines strategic planning, technical leadership, and team management to deliver secure, compliant, and reliable IT services globally.

You will oversee strategy, budgets, and vendor partnerships, while ensuring operations meet regulatory requirements and business needs. Based in Florham Park, NJ with on-site presence required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• 10-12 years IT experience with leadership in regulated environments.
• Pharma industry experience required.
• Hands-on leadership delivering infrastructure and workplace tech implementations.
• Experience applying ITIL-based service management practices.
• Experience managing managers and delivering projects on schedule.
• Deep operational experience with Microsoft, AWS, network and server management, endpoint and device management, identity and access management, data center.
• Experience managing outsourcing partners and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT leadership and stakeholders to set forward-looking infrastructure roadmaps.
• Advise on workplace technology and infrastructure tradeoffs for investments and design.
• Establish governance with stakeholders, including service reviews and SLAs.
• Lead Service Desk and Infrastructure leaders to ensure service quality.
• Direct technical work across architecture, configuration, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure security, compliance, and platform integrity across environments.
• Partner with global teams on platform design and local operations.
• Oversee capacity planning, refresh cycles, and lifecycle management of infrastructure.
• Manage vendor contracts, SLAs, renewals, and third-party performance.
