Job summary

Soni seeks a Director of IT Engineering to lead a hybrid IT organization in a role three days per week in the office. You will drive enterprise integration, architecture strategy, and AI-assisted development across multi-platform environments.

You will manage through managers, oversee integration architecture, and govern outsourced initiatives, delivering scalable capabilities aligned with the technology transformation roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in application engineering, integration engineering, software engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of management and leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in enterprise integration, iPaaS platforms, API management, ETL, and data-movement pipelines.
• Experience with enterprise/integration architecture and data architecture, including standards and decisions across complex environments.
• Experience adopting and governing AI-assisted software development tools to improve productivity, quality, and delivery.
• Ability to identify opportunities for AI tools/agents across the enterprise with appropriate security and governance.
• Experience with ERP and CRM platforms and integrating with other enterprise systems.
• Proven experience managing technology vendors, systems integrators, offshore teams, and managed-services partners.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum or other iterative delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, hire, mentor, and develop engineering leaders and engineers.
• Establish performance expectations and accountability across the engineering organization.
• Provide leadership for enterprise integration platforms, API management, cloud integration architecture, ETL/data pipelines, and CRM technologies.
• Own enterprise and integration architecture and governance.
• Drive responsible adoption of AI-assisted software development with standards and training.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI tools across development and operations with proper data access controls.
• Govern outsourced development and managed-services relationships for scope, quality, cost, and risk.
• Manage full lifecycle of engineering initiatives from requirements to deployment and support.
• Promote cross-training and knowledge sharing to reduce single points of failure.
