Scale Computing is hiring a Director of IT to lead corporate IT, including end-user services, identity, endpoints, collaboration, business SaaS platforms, office networks, and the IT service desk that every Scaler depends on. Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT, including 5+ years directly managing IT teams.
• Demonstrated fluency running Jira Service Management or an equivalent ITSM platform, including designing request catalogs, workflows, and SLAs.
• Hands-on depth with workforce identity and SSO/MFA, and endpoint management platforms.
• Track record of consolidating IT environments, tools, and service desks.
• Experience owning an IT budget and negotiating SaaS and hardware vendor contracts.
• Experience supporting audits against PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
• Working use of AI tooling in an IT operations or leadership context.

Responsibilities

• Own the IT service desk: intake, request catalog, queue structure, SLA definition, and knowledge base.
• Consolidate duplicate workflows from legacy orgs into a single IT service model and retire redundant tooling.
• Own identity and access lifecycle for workforce (GSuite, SSO, MFA) with HR integration and least-privilege access.
• Own endpoint management (MDM, patching, imaging, encryption, EDR) across Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
• Manage the SaaS portfolio and IT vendors: license utilization, renewals, and contract negotiations.
• Own IT asset management: hardware lifecycle, procurement standards, inventory accuracy, and secure disposal.
• Own office and remote-worker connectivity, conferencing, and collaboration services.
• Build and manage the IT budget with reporting on spend and savings.
• Use AI to reduce IT workload and set team standards for its use and output verification.
• Develop the IT team with a documented development plan and accountability.
