Anthropic is seeking a Director of Infrastructure Lease Accounting to lead technical accounting for data center leases and related energy arrangements. You will ensure accurate financial reporting for highly complex contracts and work with Real Estate, Legal, Finance, and external auditors.

You will apply ASC 842, ASC 810, and ASC 815 to diverse arrangements, mentor the team, and drive automation and process improvements across the function.

Formación

• 12+ years progressive experience in accounting with a focus on technical accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• Knowledge of ASC 842, ASC 810, ASC 815 and related consolidation/derivatives frameworks.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as technical accounting SME for Anthropic's complex infrastructure arrangements, leading classification, measurement, and judgments.
• Apply ASC 842 to complex lease arrangements, modifications, reassessments, and embedded leases.
• Apply ASC 810 to counterparty and JV structures, including VIE analysis for SPEs.
• Apply ASC 815 to energy and infrastructure arrangements, including embedded derivatives.
• Lead memo preparation for new arrangements, ensuring auditor-ready positions.
• Partner with Real Estate, Legal, and Finance during contract negotiation to align accounting implications.
• Explain financial impacts to non-finance stakeholders in clear terms.
• Mentor accounting professionals on technical accounting matters.
• Drive process improvements and automation, leveraging AI tooling.
