Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Community Engagement Manager to lead relations with local governments, communities, and partners in Indiana and Kentucky. You will translate technical plans into local benefits, build coalitions, and represent Anthropic in public forums while coordinating with policy, infrastructure, and energy teams.

You will travel up to 50% within Indiana and Kentucky and contribute to playbooks for scalable community engagement as Anthropic expands its data center footprint.

Qualifications

• Experience in community affairs, public affairs, economic development, government relations or related field.
• Ability to build trusted coalitions across diverse stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication, ability to translate complex plans into plain language.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with county commissioners, city councils, economic development orgs and residents in Indiana and Kentucky.
• Develop and execute a community engagement strategy spanning site selection, construction, and operations.
• Represent Anthropic in public forums, hearings, community events, and media.
• Monitor sentiment and advise on risks, opportunities and engagement pace.
• Collaborate with Real Estate, Infrastructure, Communications, Energy and Sustainability teams to align community input with project delivery.
