• This is a hybrid role, with the ideal person working in the office approximately 3 days per week
• The ideal candidate has 5+ years of IT Leadership experience and has managed both on-site and remote teams
• Extensive knowledge within the mortgage industry, including Retail, Wholesale and Correspondent lending
• Strong understanding of Cybersecurity best practices and regulatory requirements
• The expected compensation for this role is up to $135k and offers benefits and long-term growth opportunity

Overview:

Pezian Search Group is in search of a Director of IT for our West Coast based Client. The ideal candidate can be located either in Southern California or the Houston, TX area, and we are seeking a hands-on Director of IT that will lead technology operations in a growth oriented, fast-paced mortgage lending environment. This person will be responsible for overseeing cybersecurity, enterprise systems, infrastructure, and vendor management with a heavy focus on administration and optimization of Encompass LOS.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the company IT roadmap while ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives
• Oversee overall system administration, configuration, customization and integrations within Encompass
• Partner with Operations, Sales and Compliance teams to improve LOS efficiency and user experience
• Oversee network infrastructure and system architecture, as well as management of hardware, software and SaaS platforms
• Oversee cybersecurity programs, risk assessments, audits and vendor security reviews
• Mitigate system outages, monitor system performance, perform root cause analysis, and provide after-action reports.
• Review, revise and update IT policy and procedures documents and participate in audits
• Monitor departmental financials, vendor costs and services, SLAs, and technology roadmaps and align with executive expectations
• Ensure compliance with mortgage industry regulations and data security standards
• Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans
• 5 + years of IT leadership experience with a strong ability to manage both on-site and remote teams
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field
• Knowledge within the mortgage industry, including Retail, Wholesale and Correspondent workflows and applicable technology solutions is preferred
• Direct experience administering and optimizing Encompass is a strong plus
• Understanding of Cybersecurity best practices and regulatory requirements
• Ability to multi-task and work in a high paced and high-volume environment
• Strong communication, organization and time management skills
