Job summary

NovaFi Mortgage, Inc. is hiring an hands-on Assistant Director of IT in Santa Ana, CA to manage IT operations and user support in a mortgage lending environment.

The role requires strong Microsoft 365 tenant management, experience with Encompass LOS (preferred), and knowledge of mortgage workflows. This is an in-office, full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in a similar IT leadership/administration role.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or HS diploma with equivalent experience.
• Must have prior experience managing Microsoft 365 tenants.
• Encompass LOS experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mortgage industry operations is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer, support, and maintain user environment (Microsoft tenant, servers, workstations, printers, etc.).
• Create, monitor, and resolve help desk tickets with clear user communication.
• Identify network bottlenecks and performance issues to prevent outages.
• Consult with management on technology to support company goals.
• Maintain disaster recovery plans and security compliance for mortgage operations.
• Update IT policies and network documentation.
• Collaborate to meet short- and long-term IT objectives.
• Support cyber security programs, risk assessments, and vendor reviews.
• Assist in Encompass LOS configurations and integrations.
• Seek cost-effective solutions for IT goals.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Assistant Director of IT

Description

We are seeking a hands-on Assistant Director of Information Technology to aid in technology operations in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, mortgage lending environment. The Assistant Director of IT supports all functions of the company's technology infrastructure and user support.

This is an in-office role located in Santa Ana, California. Applicants must be able to commute!

Role and Responsibilities

• Administer, support, and maintenance of user environment including Microsoft tenant, servers, workstations, printers, telephones, switches, firewalls, software systems, applications, etc.
• Creates, monitors, updates, escalates, and resolves help desk tickets appropriately. Maintains communication with users throughout.
• Proactively identify and correct network issues, bandwidth bottlenecks, etc.to mitigate system outages, monitor system performance, perform root cause analysis, and present recommendations to management.
• Consults with management and team members on the technology necessary to implement systems to support and advance the company.
• Maintain, monitor, and ensure continuous compliance with disaster recovery plans, computer security, antivirus, firewall protections, mortgage industry regulations, etc.
• Implement, review, and update IT policies, procedures, and network documentation to ensure continuous accuracy and document availability.
• Work as part of the team to accomplish technology objectives within the organizations short and long-term strategies.
• Aid in cyber security programs, risk assessments, audits, and vendor security reviews.
• Implement, review, and updated IT policies, procedures, and network documentation to ensure continuous accuracy and documentation availability.
• Aid in system administration, configuration, customizations, and integrations within Encompass LOS.
• Actively seek cost effective solutions to new or ongoing technology objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in computer science or related field of study; or high school diploma in addition to equivalent training and experience related to role.
• 5+ years experience in a similar role.
• Prior experience managing Microsoft365 tenants Required
• Prior experience with Encompass LOS Preferred
• Knowledge of mortgage industry operations; retail, wholesale, and correspondent workflows Strongly Preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to positively project and represent the Company and IT department
