Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Director of IAM Platforms to lead strategic design, implementation, and governance of identity and access management across the enterprise. This role oversees Ping Identity platform suite, focusing on authentication, authorization, and federation patterns.

Hybrid work arrangement requires 3 days in office weekly (Columbus, OH; Chicago, IL; Hartford, CT; Charlotte, NC). You will guide risk reporting and governance aligned with regulatory standards and lead a global IAM

Qualifications

• 10+ years in information security, risk management, or IAM engineering.
• 5+ years architecting enterprise‑scale Ping/ForgeRock deployments.
• Leadership experience required.
• Deep expertise in SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and API security architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead identity management strategy and deployment of core IAM platforms.
• Drive modern authentication with passwordless, adaptive, and MFA strategies.
• Establish federation standards (SAML, OIDC, OAuth2) for SSO across ecosystems.
• Collaborate with business, application, platform and security teams on roadmaps and controls.
• Provide IAM risk reporting to senior leadership with regulatory alignment (NIST, SOX).
• Lead and develop a global IAM engineering/administration team.
