Job summary

Norfolk Health & Rehabilitation Center in Norfolk, VA seeks a dynamic HR professional who leads by example and upholds integrity in a fast-paced environment. You will develop and execute recruitment, retention and recognition programs to foster a committed, customer-oriented workforce.

The role reports to the facility Administrator and works with a corporate HR consultant for training and support. A bachelor's in HR or related field plus 2 years HR experience is required; PHR/SPHR preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Two years HR experience required, preferably in healthcare.
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred.

This position reports to the facility Administrator and is supported by a corporate Human Resources consultant who offers ongoing training and assistance. This highly visible position is responsible for developing and executing recruitment, retention and recognition processes that encourage a committed, customer-oriented workforce; assists with investigating and resolving complaints, problems and morale issues; and requires outstanding communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor's degree with concentration in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience. Two years HR experience required, preferably in a health care setting. PHR or SPHR preferred.
