Job summary

Eastern Washington University seeks a Director of HR Systems to lead the strategic management, implementation, and optimization of EWU’s HR information systems. Responsibilities include data maintenance, reporting, and ensuring up-to-date systems to meet institutional needs.

The role requires extensive HRIS expertise, with a focus on system configuration, data integrity and collaboration with HR, IT and stakeholders. Exempt position, with regular hours and occasional evening/weekend work.

Qualifications

• Nine+ years combined education and experience in HRIS administration.
• Experience with HRIS platforms such as Banner, Workday, HRMS, PeopleAdmin, PageUp, and/or Ellucian Banner.
• Proficient in records and data maintenance and retention practices.

Responsibilities

• System Administration and Optimization: serve as HR platforms SME, oversee configuration and improvements.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: create and maintain HR reports, analyze trends for decision making.
• Records Maintenance, Management and Retention: ensure records compliance and proper retention per standards.
• Project and Change Management: lead HRIS projects, upgrades, and integrations with change management.
• Timesheet and Payroll Processing, Supervision: ensure timely data entry and audits; manage payroll data.
• Team Management & Development: supervise HR staff handling HR tech issues; provide training.
