Job Description

To manage, direct, and coordinate all functions of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments. To maintain impeccable levels of cleanliness and ensure cost controls are in place.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain standards of cleanliness and a consistent guest experience as documented by Guest Index, Nobey, AAA 4-Diamond, Inn-keeping ratings, and ability to execute all Omni Hotels facility standards and guidelines.
2. Ensure a smooth, efficient, and economic operation in the Housekeeping and Laundry departments. Specify and purchase supplies, and record all data pertaining to the Housekeeping and Laundry departments.
3. Assist in monitoring the preventative Maintenance program throughout the hotel.
4. Maintain a highly motivated and trained staff that continually strives for excellence in service and cleanliness.
5. Constantly monitor and control all labor costs for Housekeeping and Laundry departments, achieving targeted payroll.
6. Maintain Housekeeping and Laundry turnover to an acceptable level.
7. Maintain close coordination, communication, and interaction with front desk to ensure rooms are available for sale, and with Engineering to ensure guest rooms and all public areas interior and exterior are at peak operative levels.
8. Directly control the issuance and retrieval of associate uniforms.
9. Directly control the key control program for all Housekeeping associates.
10. Monitor all guest requests to ensure they are met within prescribed time limits.
11. Inspect and tour all public areas.
12. Inspect all VIP rooms.
13. Monitor guest complaints accordingly and take corrective action when necessary.
14. Maintain and administer monthly linen inventories, responsible for action plans to address shrinkage.
15. Assist with budget process as required by Director of Rooms.
16. Develop master cleaning schedules and administer accordingly.
17. Monitor all Housekeeping inventories to ensure adequate supplies are available, complete analysis of amenity consumption.
18. Ensure hotel, guest, and associate are maintained in a safe and secure environment.
19. Knowledge of hotel facilities and events.

Qualifications

1. Exceptional guest service skills.
2. Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PMS.
3. Strong attention to detail.
4. Ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment.
5. Remain calm and professional at all times.
6. Be able to make quick decisions and possess good judgment.
7. Knowledge of Laundry equipment and operations.
8. Previous experience in a large 4-diamond property.

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to push or pull up to 75lb.
2. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lb.
3. Walk for long periods of time.

Working Environment:

1. Interior of hotel with possible exposure to the outside.
2. Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
