Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Director of Housekeeping is to provide guests with an excellent room experience, ensuring that all operational standards and procedures for the Housekeeping and Laundry Department (including Hilton brand and Atrium management requirements) are being followed by all Associates. You will report to the Assistant General Manager and oversee supervisors, line staff, and support personnel.
Work Performed:
As a Housekeeping Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily Housekeeping operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Managing the cleanliness and quality standards of guest rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices, and meeting spaces
Ensuring rooms are clean and available to guests in a timely and efficient manner
Overseeing department operations, including systems management, cost controls, budgeting, and policy enforcement
Conducting inspections and ensuring quality compliance
Recruiting, training, and developing team members through supervision, coaching, evaluations, and recognition
Participating in department meetings and supporting operational excellence
Required Prior Experience:
3+ years of experience in Hotel Management
Preferred Prior Experience:
Experience in Housekeeping Management (previous Director-level experience preferred)
Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
Associates degree or higher in hospitality, business, or related field
Required Technology:
Basic computer knowledge, including the Microsoft Suite of Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook, andTeams; Experience with hotel information systems
Required Physical:
Able to lift a minimum of 50lbsoccasionally
Able to stand and/or walk for duration of scheduled shift
Required Other:
Flexible to working days, early mornings,evenings,nightsweekends, holidays, and special events
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Other:
Bi-Lingual
