Highlands Health and Rehabilitation Center in Memphis, TN is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager to lead our dietary department full-time. • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and therapeutic diets.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• CDM is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the dietary department, including food production, meal service, sanitation, and staffing.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, state health department, and food safety standards.
• Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team to meet residents' nutritional needs.
• Develop and maintain menus that meet therapeutic diet requirements and resident preferences.
• Manage department budgets, food purchasing, inventory, and cost controls.
• Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate dietary staff.
• Monitor food quality, resident satisfaction, and meal service performance.
• Maintain records related to food safety, staffing, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
